2010 Loveland Artsource Now Available!

The new 2010 Loveland Artsource is here! The twenty-eight-page guide to the arts in Loveland includes many local artists and art galleries, theater and music groups, articles about Loveland’s sculpture shows, art offerings and sculpture parks, as well as information about historic downtown Loveland, lodging, and tourism. Published by the Downtown Loveland Association, the creation and promotion of the arts guide is one of the five strategic initiatives of our organization, which is dedicated to “revitalizing the heart of Loveland.”

Loveland Artsource, initially created in 2009, is a marketing piece for Loveland that is being distributed through all of the Colorado Welcome Centers throughout the state. The purpose is to promote Loveland, Colorado as one of the top arts towns in America. According to John Villani’s book, The 100 Best Art Towns in America, Loveland is one of the best small towns for the arts, second only to Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Local Loveland companies were tapped to produce the glossy, full color 2010 Loveland Artsource. It was designed and edited by Full Circle Marketing & Design and printed by Light-Speed Color. The arts guide is available at the Downtown Loveland Association office at 231 W. Fourth Street, at the Loveland Museum Gallery, Rialto Theater, art galleries and advertiser locations. Major sponsors included the City of Loveland, McWhinney, The Master’s Fine Art of Loveland and the Embassy Suites Hotel, Spa and Conference Center.

The "Rialto Bridge" Project

Been hearing about the “Rialto Bridge” Project? At a recent DLA networking event, Troy Peterson of Flagstone Partners explained the exciting things being considered for use of the space adjacent to the Rialto, if the former Monaco Ristorante and the shoe store are razed. These might include a large "picture window" glass front to the adjacent building, displaying light and movement and excitement as people move about inside, lots of space for the performers and a "green" room, and space for a new restaurant, possibly serving everything from appetizers and tapas to dinner and fine wine to coffee and dessert! The bridge project would make the Rialto Theater's dreams for space come true and add a lot of cachet to our downtown.

P.S. The “Rialto Bridge” theater expansion is supported by the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado and is an example of a project through which the Community Foundation connects with donors who wish to establish a charitable legacy.
