A hometown tradition, our Festival of Lights signature event draws local crowds into Downtown Loveland for the debut of holiday lighting along 4th Street. Celebrate the holiday season with live music and entertainment, a tree lighting ceremony, live reindeer, holiday market, carriage rides, meet Mr. & Mrs Claus and more!
The Festival of Lights will be located on the newly completed 4th Street this year!

Floats on Fourth
For the third year, Floats on Fourth is returning to the Festival of Lights.
This stationary float parade will take place on two blocks of 4th Street between Lincoln Avenue and Washington Avenue. This event will feature floats parked along the sides of the street, creating a festive, immersive experience for visitors.
The center of the street will be kept open allowing people to walk through and enjoy the floats up close. Throughout the evening, performers like marching bands, dancers and entertainers will move through the crowd, bringing the parade to life.
2026 UPDATE: We are currently accepting float applications and have special pricing levels for both non-profits and businesses.
In 2025 there was approximately 8-10k people in attendance at the Festival of Lights. Floats on Fourth is an excellent way to get your business in front of the public and to help us spread a little holiday cheer!
We will have a panel of judges who will be awarding prizes for the best floats! Sign up today!
Attendees can get started on their local holiday shopping at the pop-up holiday art market by The Valentine Flea with over 30 booths featuring local makers, artists, and handmade and vintage vendors!
Be sure to stop for Hot Chocolate and a Smore’s Kit at the Meals on Wheels Booth! Meals on Wheels receives all profits from the activity and you can roast your marshmallows and enjoy your s’mores right at the festival!
