Celebrate Valentine’s Day at the annual Sweetheart Festival in Downtown Loveland!
Bring the family or your sweetheart for FREE fun in the Sweetheart City, including a day full of LIVE ice sculpting, fire and art demonstrations, musical and dance performances on our community stage and the Little Miss Valentine & Little Mister Cupid Contest at the Historic Rialto Theater. The Sweetheart Festival is an extension of Loveland’s 80 year history as the nation’s Sweetheart City. There is something for everyone – chocolate, running, art, and MUCH MORE!
This year’s Sweetheart Festival is hosted by Visit Loveland and The Rule Events.

2026 Downtown Business Valentine’s Decorating Contest
Love downtown Loveland? Help us celebrate it! 💖
Downtown businesses are decorating for the 2025 Downtown Valentine’s Season Decorating Contest, and you get to help choose the winner. Decorations will be up by February 1 and will remain on display through Valentine’s Day—so be sure to stroll downtown, shop local, and enjoy the festive displays.
Vote for your favorite!
Each participating business will have a QR code posted inside, making it easy to vote while you’re out shopping.
People’s Choice Prize:
The winning business will receive a $100 Downtown Gift Card and a custom sign to proudly display as the contest winner.
Voting will be hosted in partnership with NOCO Style through their website and social media platforms.

Sweetheart Stroll- A Downtown Venue Crawl
Explore downtown Loveland for sweets, entertainment, and festive fun, visit participating businesses, collect stamps, and receive a commemorative love lock at the Downtown Visitor Center.
Foundry Plaza Activities
Watch captivating ice sculpting, fire performances by Torch Mouth, participate in a community mural, and scan a special QR code for exclusive downtown promotions.
Loveland Sweetheart Classic 5K
Run or walk solo or as a couple through Northern Colorado’s premier Valentine’s weekend race. Starts at 9:30 a.m., with fun, fitness, and a little romance for everyone.
Rialto Theater - Ticketed Events
Little Miss Valentine & Little Mr. Cupid Contest in the morning. Romantic comedy during the day and comedy shows at night. A perfect Valentine’s option for any mood.
Sweetheart Ball- Ticketed Event
Step back in time at the historic Pulliam Building in downtown Loveland. Guests are invited to dress in their finest vintage attire and experience an evening inspired by the 1940s golden age of romance, featuring a 15-piece big band, a jazz lounge with live entertainment, period re-enactors, and more
Group Wedding & Vow Renewal – Ticketed Event
